THIS PAGE MAY TAKE AWHILE TO LOAD DUE TO THE PICTURES
Puffy, a Russian Campbell Dwarf (Phodopus campbelli), toured this area, around the edges, looking for family and friends. The South African Hamster, Mystromys albicaudatus, is related to "Cricetinae" but is not a "Hamster" in the common understanding of this species. Puffy did not find any relatives in Southern Africa, that were living in the wild. There are hamsters in Africa that are Syrians or Dwarfs, but they are in cages.
